We had a real pleasure in delivering our economic speech on the Franco-Indian exchanges at Les Hauts. The setting is splendid and we understand why General Eisenhower and President Edouard Herriot spoke of the "most beautiful kilometer of France". The mansion, the hanging gardens facing the Mont Saint Michel and the kindness of the owners were particularly appreciated. The participants and organizers of the exhibition, the business leaders and members of the ICC (international chambre of commerce), the local politicians, the ambassador and I have kept an excellent memory of this reception.

Without a doubt a wonderful place to discover the bay, in the calm and serenity it requires to really appreciate it. Time has stopped at the castle with its wonderful living room and its imposing fireplace and wood paneling, its rooms of another century with a decor reminding oneself of a museum. The furniture is beautiful, precious and we really drifted off to a dream from the balcony of the room Napoleon, overlooking the magistral Mont Saint-Michel.

It starts with a small, almost confidential market, the least one can say quiet. It is Sunday. Close to Mont St-Michel, this peaceful place in itself seems to spread its magic throughout the bay. St-Jean-le-Thomas is a victim of this peaceful magic. The tourist fervor turned away probably out of respect for this tranquility. And then, as an ode to this tranquility, the Hauts de la Baie welcomes you. In its garden first of all, a true jewel box born from the passion of its owners. And then the house, what do I say a castle whose salons will not leave you indifferent.
